Pilates Instructor Training

Certificate IV & Diploma in Pilates Therapy Instruction

Have you ever considered a rewarding career in the personal Health & Fitness Industries? The Fitness industry in general is growing rapidly & constantly in need of qualified highly trained Instructors. If you enjoy working with people & like the idea of getting paid well for doing something you really love then our pilates training courses may be what you are looking for. Our courses are not short weekend or even 2-3 week part-time courses. On average each of our two courses take around 6 months part time to complete, This is because the amount of detailed information in the coursework & our students required to complete blocks of assistant teaching hours, class observation hours and student teaching hours. This ensures all of our students are fully competent & confident in their teaching abilities.

Our Pilates Instructor Training Course is the only fully certified, nationally recognised Instructor training course created & delivered in South Australia. We offer  40614SA Certificate IV &  40615SA Diploma of Pilates Therapy Instruction. Our Courses are delivered under an auspice agreement with RTO Community Services Training & Development Centre.


Leanne Ringelstein, is studio director & founder of the course. Leanne was a professional contemporary dancer with the Australian Dance Theatre (ADT), Leigh Warren & Dancers, Expressions Dance Company & Dance North. Leanne gained her Pilates mat work & equipment Certification in the United States in 2001. Leanne has over 19 years experience with Pilates & 13 years performing as a contemporary dancer. This experience has enabled her to work extensively both nationally & internationally with Pilates working from beginners to advanced levels. 


40614SA Certificate IV in Pilates Therapy Instruction

This program is designed for people who wish to develop the competencies to deliver Pilates Mat Work instruction to the general public. They may be employed by a pilates studio or fitness and professional organisations, such as gymnasiums, sports clubs, and physiotherapists.

The Certificate IV is designed for those working under supervision. Those wishing to work independently and advance further in instructing others in the pilates method, are encouraged to complete the Diploma of Pilates Equipment Instruction. This Diploma qualification includes competencies that facilitate independent work.

The Certificate IV course is delivered part time over a period of 6 months with a mix of theory and practical activities. For most participants, it is a prerequisite to commencing the Diploma of Pilates Equipment Instruction. 

40615SA Diploma of Pilates Therapy Instruction 

This program is designed for people who wish to develop the competencies to deliver Pilates Equipment Work instruction to the general public. They may be employed by a studio or fitness and professional organisations, such as gymnasiums, sports clubs, and physiotherapists.

Lecture/Classroom based delivery with Practical hands-on components. Participants are expected to do a minimum of four hours revision and after hours homework per week to complete all of the course content.

The Diploma course is delivered part time over a period of 6 months with a mix of theory and practical activities. It is a prerequisite to complete the 40614SA Certificate IV course prior to commencing the Diploma of Pilates Equipment Instruction.
